Strings – Children’s String Classes



For children learning in groups of 3 or more. Any combination of string instrument. Children should play in unison wherever possible, in rounds or with variations. Two contrasting pieces.
Own choice of music. 8 mins (max)

Junior Strings (E1)
Intermediate Strings (E2)
Senior String Ensemble/Orchestra (E3)

String Duets – strings only (ST53) 5 mins (max)

All ensembles can include teacher / adult accompaniment.

For ALL ensembles please give approximate number of performers.

David Capp Memorial Bursary
All primary school musical ensembles (including WCET) entering the 2018 Festival will be eligible for the David Capp Memorial bursary of £1000, for extra music or tuition for primary school pupils and their teacher. It will be awarded to an ensemble showing promise and potential to develop further with extra tuition.
