SUPPORTING US

We are a charity and not a competitive Festival. We rely on donations and voluntary support to keep going. We are ever grateful to the music teachers, volunteers and people who encourage amateur music making and learning. Without you the Festival would not exist.

Did you know, just to hire our venues and pianos costs thousands of pounds, which we pay for through the Festival entrance fees and your generous donations.

You can help us keep the Festival running by:

  • Donating via paypal or setting up a monthly standing order
  • Joining the Festival Association
  • Leaving us a legacy in your will
  • Volunteering at the Festival

OUR SUPPORTERS

Heartfelt thanks go to the following organisations, charities and private individuals for their generous financial and in-kind support of Norfolk County Music Festival.

Arthur and Olive Shorten

The Festival was founded in 1925 arising from the vision of Arthur Shorten, one of the two Members of Parliament for Norwich. Mr Shorten’s name lives on through the award of the Shorten Cup and the kind donations made by his daughter, Olive Shorten over the years.
